What graphics card options can I get for VISTA? I'm not a techie, as simple as can be so I can

I just need to walk into an ordinary computer shop and purchase a graphics card. I'm not very technical, but I can see that I have an IBM THinkCentre, purchased October 2006 brand new. It has a 3GHz CPU, 1GB RAM and just been upgraded to WinVISTA from WinXP SP2. AERO does not work. HELP.

Get something like this:

Try to get an Nvidia based 8000 series card so you can run directx10. Tell the clerk you want a card that runs DX10. You don't have to have DirectX10 to run Aero but since you have Vista with DirectX10 you might as well get a DirectX10 card because they don't cost any more and if you ever play a game with directX10 you'll be set. it was made for vista and aero and if you buy it online you get a $20 rebate and a free DX10 game!
