Nvidia graphics cards?

hi im getting a nvidia 8800 gtx for my dell xps 720. the dell came with a 8800 gtx already in it but im going to buy another for sli.

can anyone tell me what brand the graphics card is that comes with the dell...bfg,pny,xfx,...ect. also will two different brands of cards work together. ex. bfg and xfx.....thnks

any brand works ok.

as long as its an 8800 GTX and you have a sli bridge, sli will work.

my video card is made by bfg, I think they are ok, though xfx is nice also.

2 different brands will work just fine...they just need to be the same GPU. i.e. 8800GTX with 8800GTX....8800GTS with 8800GTS

Not that this matters for you but the amount of VRAM doesn't have to match either. You could SLI say an 8600GT 256MB with a 8600GT 512MB just fine.

Make sure you have an SLI bridge and a PSU that is 550w or more and you'll be set!

Oh and you do have a monitor with a res of 1680x1050 or greater, right? If it's lower than that, you won't get much of a performance increase from SLI.
