2 graphics card's?

I had a GeForce 8800 GTS graphics card put in my computer; they left the old card in. I was wondering if it is possible too hook the old card back up and put a switch in so I can change between them.

2 graphics card's?

i cant imagine why you would want to ... it will probably cause a conflict somewhere down the line having them both installed and enabled ..

2 graphics card's?

The switch is allready in your bios and in your operating system

2 graphics card's?

No, you don't want to do that.

Uninstall, and take out, the old one. Keep it if the new one fries.

There are cards with two video outs (for two monitors), and there are cards that can be installed in tandem, and connected with a special cable (the Crossfire), but for what you are talking about....they will probably conflict with each other.

2 graphics card's?

If everything is installed nicely, you should be able to use both cards at once for multiple monitors; the output would be turned on or off through the monitor driver software, rather than an external switch.

2 graphics card's?

Your old one is integrated graphics which is part of the motherboard chipset. It is ALWAYS OFF when a discrete card like your 8800GTS is plugged on the graphics expansion slot. It will ONLY TURN ON again if you pull out your 8800 GTS from its slot.

Sorry, but that is the way most motherboards work.
