Does anyone have a suggestion for a good Graphics Card for Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars?

I've been at a loss to find a graphics card for my computer that both meets the requirements of the game and is available for my computer. My computer is less than a year old, with over 3 gigahertz for processor speed, 250 gigabytes on the hard drive and 1 gigabyte for RAM. It has a small factory-installed graphics card in it currently, not large enough to handle what the game Tiberium Wars can dish out. The game says a computer will need: "ATI Radeon 8500 or great; Nvidia GeForce4 or great" and goes on to say "ATI Radeon 9200, 9250 PCI; Nvidia GeForce4 MX are not supported". Herein lies the problem--I have PCI ports and a PCIe port. All of the graphics cards that seem to work with C%26amp;C: Tiberium Sun require an AGP port. Does anyone have any ideas for a graphics card that will work?

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good Graphics Card for Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars?

not sure how that would be possible considering that PCIe is the better interface, but anyway you can check out this site that tested out a bunch of video cards with C%26amp;C3 and see if you can make anything out of it. http://www.gamespot.com/features/6168067...

i was just playing that game c%26amp;c and i have never had any problems and the graphics card i have been useing is the nvidia 8800gts 670mb im a big time gamer and it was worth the price

Sli graphics?

I want to run 2 SLI graphics cards in my PC. Do you need 2 PCI slots to do this. I think my computer only has 1. If so is there anyway round this

Sli graphics?

SLi (Nvidia) or CrossFire (ATi/AMD) is not a good deal.

Unless you snagged a couple graphics cards off the back of a truck or got some other unheard of deal you're much better off buying a single more powerful card. It can be a pain to setup and some games just will not work with properly with a dual card setup.

Sli graphics?

No, there is no way around it. You need an SLI capable motherboard with a SLI bridge to connect the cards together. The use PCIE slots that are identical. If you do not have this it will not work.

Hope I helped ....

Flight Simulator 10 & Graphics Card?

I play Flight Simulator X regularly, I have a good computer but I still have to have the graphics on low settings to make it run better. I have heard that Graphics Cards a good to make games run better. Can someone please tell me in detail what they are, what they do, how to install them and how much they would cost?

Flight Simulator 10 %26amp; Graphics Card?

Oh wow, that is a big topic to cover in one post.

From my experience, FSX is one game that will require a good card and a good computer overall to run on the high settings.

Yes, a better graphics card will make it run faster. What they are and what they do...well, a GPU is just like a CPU but it is meant for processing graphic and pixel data.

I will recommend getting a Nvidia card, just because I have had bad experiences with ATI cards. As for models, Anything in the 7000 or 8000 series will do the job.

The cost will be anywhere from the lower 7000 models (around $120 maybe less) to the 8800 GTX (overkill really) which runs about $600-$700.

Installation is pretty easy, just make sure you find out what slot you have on your mobo (motherboard, AGP or PCIEx16), and just pop out the old one and put in the new one and insert the drivers CD and hit install drivers. Simple enough.

Good Luck, and if you have trouble, you can always go to your local best buy and talk to the geek squad guys about it. They will help you find what you are looking for.

Flight Simulator 10 %26amp; Graphics Card?

cost any where from about $30 to like $200

they makes the game look better

wen u play u see like big boxes coming all togther to make a pic rite

those big boxes wiill become smalller or might even go away with the graphics card

and to install the requirments and steps r written on the box

That will help.

Flight Simulator 10 %26amp; Graphics Card?

Graphics cards control all of the 3d stuff so that your CPU doesn't have to do it.

They are easy to install, you probably have either an AGP or PCI-e slot on your motherboard that your new video card would go in. Check your motherboard manual.

Go here to check out which video card is best for what you want to spend:

http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/08/06/t...

Flight Simulator 10 %26amp; Graphics Card?

I fly flight sim alot. Mostly on the Vatsim network online. To be honest with you, FSX uses CPU power. All the calculations of airspeed, wind, the motion of the plane, weather and navigation have nothing to do with your video card. FSX uses CPU power.

While video cards will help a little, maybe a little more eye candy, really performance will suffer without a HIGH end cpu. FSX is a little ahead of its time and cannot perform well on the average computer.

What express graphics card?can it really increase the 3d accceleration?how much does it cost ?

i have an acer 5920 with intel GMA X3100 ON BOARD with intel GM965 CHIPSET from which i dont get 100 fps in some games...can i put EXPRESS GRAPHICS CARD to my laptop...pls help

What express graphics card?can it really increase the 3d accceleration?how much does it cost ?

Nope. You cannot upgrade the graphics card in a laptop. By the way, not even a triple-sli 8800GTX with a 3.8 ghz Oct-core processor could run 100 FPS on any game, since no screen could support that many visible frames, and the human eye can only view up to about 30-40 FPS without everything you're viewing appear in slow motion.

The Intel Chips are not actual graphics cards and WILL not run any games at any playable speed. The X3100 (On a MacBook) runs World of Warcraft on minimum graphic settings at 15 fps.

What you want is a discreet graphics card, which is an entire processor and RAM chipset devoted to only running what is on your screen, such as 3D and 2D graphics, rather than the Intel Chips (For example, your X3100) which uses the computers personal processor and RAM chips, making everything run pretty slow.

What express graphics card?can it really increase the 3d accceleration?how much does it cost ?

Nope. You can't. you are stuck with what you want.

Most games you don't need 100fps?

What express graphics card?can it really increase the 3d accceleration?how much does it cost ?

The acer 5920 comes in many variations. Right now I am typing on an acer 5920 with an 8600gt in it. The question is did they remove the MXMII slot from your mother board or just leave it empty and turn on the onboard graphics.

If it is possible it wont be easy. I would check out the forums at forums.laptopreview.com and the mxm-upgrade.com forums.

Is this graphics card good for games?

That particular card is a little dated; it's 3 generations old as far as ATi's hardware goes. The latest series of ATi cards are the x3000 series, before that it was x2000, before that x1000, and before that is where the x800 sits.

If you can, get something newer, the ATi x2000 and x3000 series or nVidia's 7000 and 8000 series. In particular any ATi x29**, x39** or nVidia 79** or 88** series card should be good to go for the majority of games out now.

Is this graphics card good for games?

should be able to play ALMOST all the games.. but try getting a card with 512 RAM

Is this graphics card good for games?

As for advice:

Cheap: 2400XT

Mid: 2600 Pro or 8600GT

Mid-high: 3850

High: 8800GT

Always try to get a 512MB version if you can, 256MB just isn't enough for newer games.

Xbox 360 graphics issue on Samsung 1080p tv?

I have the new xbox 360 with the hdmi port in.

I have also just bought a 40inch Samsung 1080p tv.

Im currently running the console through a hdmi cable, however there are some noticable graphics problems that occur through the TV. The main problem being that the shadows in games come out blocky, for example when i play Devil may cry 4, there is a level with loads of trees and light shining in between, but it looks horrible cos all the shadow lines jus look pixelated.

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?!

Thanks

Difference between graphics card and i video card?

Hi, Can any one tell me what the difference between a graphics card and a video card is.

Difference between graphics card and i video card?

...

there is no difference

Difference between graphics card and i video card?

Different name. Same thing.

Difference between graphics card and i video card?

there one of the same things.. people use the different words to mean the same thing..but you can get a video capture card.

Difference between graphics card and i video card?

nothing, some people call it a graphics card others call it a video card.

Difference between graphics card and i video card?

no, the idiot is wrong, graphic card is 98 percent of game graphics, and a video card is 52percent of game graphics and Profecorataed graphics and speed of the graphical designs within the integreated linksys

vote my question best, i deserve it for being smart lol

Difference between graphics card and i video card?

video seems to be an older term, whereas graphics card is more often used now, but tbh i don't know a difference, they do the same tasks in similar (or the same) ways , so they are as near as dammedy the same :P

Difference between graphics card and i video card?

Their mode of functions/capabilities are different but both are designed under different tech for same purpose!

Which graphics card for windows vista?

I think lowest from Nvidia is 6600 that supports Aero...

Which graphics card for windows vista?

The Geforce 6200 should support Vista, they are priced between $36 and $50. That doesn't mean it's the best card you can get, just that it will support Vista. For what you're looking at, core speeds and clock speeds don't matter, oh yeah, on the 6200, don't expect to be able to play games at maximum resolutions or fast at low settings, I'd define the 6200 performance on most games as "barely playable"

It also depends on what kind of graphics expansion you have (AGP or PCIe). You can find the 6600 series in both variants but you'll get more of a punch from the 7600 series (which are available in AGP and PCIe variants). The cheapest is the 6200 but that doesn't mean you should but it.

it is an 512mb ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 HyperMemory graphics card. I belive it is a chipset. Im trying to play Halo 2 it loads and runs but is jerky and not playable on a high level. I have 2gb ram and plenty of Hard drive space. My OS is Windows Vista Premium. My processor is an AMD Turion 64 X 2. I dont know any problems with that. ANYthing will be helpful. Im mostly looking to change my graphics card tho

I want to change my graphics card in my acer aspire 5100 - 5023 i belive it is in chipset. Can i change this??

tweak the video settings on the game itself. take off things like shadows and unneccesary graphics options. chances are this is all you need to do.

I want to change my graphics card in my acer aspire 5100 - 5023 i belive it is in chipset. Can i change this??

Changing a notebook graphic cards is something that in your case is not possible or something easy to do like in a Desktop. You have what is known as Integrated Graphics Processor that comes bundle with the motherboard of your notebook.

The only thing that you can do (that was already mentioned here) is to put the settings to the lowest values in the game in order to make it easier to the notebook render those Halo 2 graphics.

Sorry you can't get blood from a turnip The Ati Radeon Xpress is a decent GPU for a laptop. What you have now is all you can get with your comp.

Just yurn off some of the eye candy in video options of the game.

Go here and see what your card will run.

"updated" graphics card problems?

I had tried to update my graphics card because my computer was having a few problems both running games and just running itself. I researched and was under the impression that if I just simply updated my driver all would be well again. I downloaded what this site told me to and now my computer is worse. It runs slow and sketchy and the color was all messed up. I disabled the driver so I could actually use it but it hasnt helped much. I tried to do a system restore but my computer wont let it. Any suggestions on what to do to fix this and then update my driver?

"updated" graphics card problems?

if you right click my computer, choose properties then hardware,

open device manager and select your graphics card

then choose rollback driver.this should work.

to find a driver for your card, visit the manufacturers website the latest drivers will be on there DO NOT INSTALL RANDOM DRIVERS NOT SPECIFICALLY WRITTEN FOR YOUR HARDWARE!!

good luck

Andy

"updated" graphics card problems?

did you try roll back driver?

what video card do you have btw?

"updated" graphics card problems?

you may need to either do a system restore to point before install the driver or if easier download a new driver, one you are sure about

"updated" graphics card problems?

Right click on the driver then property then driver then roll back old driver.

"updated" graphics card problems?

updating your video card driver wont simply makes your computer better. due to demand of memory of todays game old video card sometimes need to be replace by a higher memory and or add more RAM memory for you to be able to play or experience what you are expecting on the game. on your situation that you said "running by itself" you also experience problem, video card might not be the source of the problem. there is a lot of reasons, virus, spyware, corrupt system files, populated hard disk (running low on space), etc.,

What you have download is not maybe proper driver for your video card.

first need to remove/or uninstall the driver you installed and its previous driver, go to hardware properties and remove it from there if it is not available in add/remove programs. then restart you pc.

upon restart your computer, will detect you video card. then install the driver of your video card. if you dont have one dowload its driver ONLY FROM THE WEBSITE OF ITS MAKER.

this might solve your problem.

"updated" graphics card problems?

Obviously, the first thing to try is going back to 'zero' by uninstalling the driver you presently have installed, preferably after using a free program called 'DriverCleanerPro' which works with nVidia and ATI drivers (also 3DLabs, Creative, Matrox, Realtek and several others).

After installing it reboot into 'safe' mode which will allow you to uninstall the driver from the Device Manager, then run the uninstall wizard for the app and, finally, run 'Driver Cleaner Pro' to fully eliminate all the tidbits that may be left over.

Then as you reboot into normal mode, XP will try to reinstall it's own drivers (since you just got rid of the updated driver) from its CAB files (they have a Cab Cleaner program for cleaning these out also). Try to cancel this process, then install the alternate driver, in your case, I'd try the original driver disk, since it was designed to work with the card.

If that's the driver you're having trouble with, go to the site that made the card and see if their update is the same as the latest nVidia or ATI driver at their respective sites. If the makers of the card only recommend the latest nVidia or ATI update, then there may be other details, such as what specific apps seem to be triggering the problems, that may indicate where the problem may lie. From my experience though, it's the driver itself and not another program.

Does my motherboard take gddr2 graphics?

i got a new motherboard and processor and now i have ddr2 RAM instead of just ddr and a AM2 socket instead of 754, but now im wondering can it take ddr2 graphics, the motherboard is an MSI K9MM-V on an AMD platform and has a VIA K8M800 chipset, the graphics port is an AGP X8, i currently have a radeon 9250 in there which is gddr.

Does my motherboard take gddr2 graphics?

The RAM on the graphics card has nothing to do with what the motherboard uses. Newer graphics cards use DDR3 and even DDR4 RAM and 99% of new motherboards still use DD2. For your graphics card to work you just need to make sure it has the correct slot for your graphics card, AGP, PCI-e, and if your power supply is big enough to handle it. For an old AGP card I would not worry about you Power Supply as AGP cards don't require much power to run.

Does my motherboard take gddr2 graphics?

Yeah graphics RAM type is associated with the graphics card itself. As long as you find an AGP card with DDR2 you have no problem, did it back when I have AGP system, now it is a Socket 939 PCIE system that's DDR1 running a GDDR3 card.

Does my motherboard take gddr2 graphics?

if it is agp x8 then install the agp x8 graphic card, doesn't matter if it is gddr or gddr2.

Go to the website I have listed below, select Graphics Driver, then select GeForce and Tnt2, then select your operating system. Then click on the go button. nVidia uses a unified driver file, that one file will be the driver for many of their video card chipsets.

Camcorder Graphics?

OK, my friend and I are making a short film. But I have the Panasonic PV-550 and its not a digital camcorder. I was wondering if there was anyway we could do graphics on it. The camcorder itself uses a VHS tape. So please help me out. Thank you very much.

Camcorder Graphics?

If you are using the camcorder to do in-camera editing, you can shoot title cards just like was done in the days before digital effects were invented. Basically you just create a title or graphic on a card, light it evenly, and shoot a segment of it onto tape. You can use a computer to create and print the graphics if you wish, though hand-drawn graphics have a certain cool look of their own.

If you want to edit with a computer you can buy a video capture card and digitize all your video as an AVI or MPEG video file. Then you can use editing software to edit and add graphics or titles to your heart's content.

In my opinion one of the easiest and most versatile editing packages for your application is Pinnacle Studio AV/DV Version 9. It is available for under $50 and includes the video capture card.

WK

Camcorder Graphics?

Dude, you are "screwed". VHS is poor quality. (Mini-DV is what you really need) Plus, you need to buy a TV-Tuner card to transfer the VHS video to the PC, in real time. The best you can get is 320x240 resolution.

But, it all can be done. And actually it won't look so bad for your first try. VCDs are 320x240, and they are pretty good.

Capture the video as a RAW AVI, with the TV-Tuner. Then use Ulead MediaStudio to do all of the special effects and editing.

Have fun!

Camcorder Graphics?

take it to a camera store and they'll record it to dvd take that dvd home and edit or just buy a dvd recorder and same thing.

Can i put a new graphics card on my laptop?

Mostly the answer is a no because the graphics cards are built onto the motherboard, but I think some you can. Best bet would be email the company and ask them about it.

Intell extreme graphics loads at start up?

how do i stop intell extreme graphics from loading at start up i dont use it and i am low on memeory and it interfears with my pc how do i stop it from loading at start up..thanks steve

Intell extreme graphics loads at start up?

if u really want to stop it go to

start%26gt;run%26gt;then type msconfig and press enter

now go to start up tab

and disable the program from start up

Intell extreme graphics loads at start up?

go to start - run an write there "msconfig" without "",.. and there unselect everything you want

Intell extreme graphics loads at start up?

I must assume you are talking about a software companion to the video drivers you have.

Just an FYI, DO NOT uninstall that software or you will likely lose your video drivers as well.

The only way to do this is by (and be careful... you can REALLY break your computer by clicking the wrong thing in here) clicking Start-Run, and typing msconfig

Hit enter, and a new window will open. Click the Startup tab, find the item in the list, uncheck the box, and click OK.

The computer will ask to reboot, and go ahead and do so.

Again, be VERY careful what you uncheck in here... you can easily turn off antivirus or a firewall, and that can have dire consequences.

Intell extreme graphics loads at start up?

To disable/enable programs at start up, go to...

Start%26gt;Run%26gt; msconfig

then click on the start up tab, and un-check the "intell extreme graphics" program.

hope this helps

Capturing C Graphics enabled output screen?

I have written a C Graphics Prog.

When I run the prog the exe, it captures Full Screen.

Now I want to copy the screen and take a print out of it.

I have tried using PrintScreen and pasting to a word file, but it didn't work. I have used softwares like HyperSnap,ScreenCapture but none worked.

Please help me on this to take the print out.

Capturing C Graphics enabled output screen?

Unless you have some "very" special configuration on your computer, the print screen key must work... Try to paste after you press print screen in Paint (not in Word...) because the result it's an image... If you want a good free screen capture prog, google for "irfanview download". It's a good tool and it always works :D.

What graphics card should I upgrade to for games?

I have a HP Pavilion a1101n that has a 340 intel celeron d processer and 512mb of ram. Right now I have built in intel graphics card. So it has to be PCI.

What graphics card should I upgrade to for games?

g-force or ATI cards. Either of those will work well with your machine.

Check out www.tigerdirect.com for good prices and comparrisons.

What graphics card should I upgrade to for games?

Well at some point (read:immediately) you are going to have to get a new processor, but any GeForce MX card will do nicely if you have AGP support, if not, buy a new pc.

What graphics card should I upgrade to for games?

If hefty price tags aren't a problem, the Geforce 7950 GX2 packs two 7900 GPUs onto a single card, giving you the performance of a dual card system. Although you won't see a lot of benefit from this right now unless you're running games at high resolutions (1600x1200 or greater), they do go nicely with a 24 inch monitor. For extreme overkill, you can have quad graphics processors by placing two GX2 cards in one system!

What graphics card should I upgrade to for games?

Hi there,

Well personally I can say you wont be disappointed if you get a card with nvidia GPU, but it depends on your budget, I'll leave a link so you can do some more research.

Good luck

What graphics card should I upgrade to for games?

that aint a comp its a boat anchor

What graphics card should I upgrade to for games?

To be honest it wouldn't really be worth it to upgrade you video card this system has only PCI bus and it will help your system but you can get a hole new system thats newer for about $ 240.00 Emachine that has agp which has AGP whats the difference agp allows you to share memory off or your mother board memory and also has a faster transfer speed greatly faster than PCI. Save a buy a new PC to be honest.

Which graphics card should i get???

ok i have a Dell Dimisions 4600 with a 500w PSU and 2GB of ram. and i my computer is a AGP. which graphics card should i get. a BFG GeForce 7800 GS or a ATI Radeon X1650 Pro. which one will look better and run smoother on my AGP computer???

Which graphics card should i get???

Everyone here is just picking a company, and not looking at the two cards in question. The 7800GS is the better of the two cards, its not about the companies, the card is the better of the two.

Which graphics card should i get???

I'd go with the NVidia one.

Which graphics card should i get???

i have googled these but ATI Radeon X1650 Pro ( because i have a ati card in my macbook pro and im bias.

i think there about the same google it.

Which graphics card should i get???

Go for the Radeon, it's best for gaming. Although, GeForce is cheaper.

Which graphics card should i get???

I would go for the Nvidia just because I have had very bad experiences with ATI, also I have found that it is less of a hassle with Nvidia when it comes to upgrading drivers.

Does Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3000 support any 3D games?

Does Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3000 support any 3D games?

Does Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3000 support any 3D games?

Actually its an integrated Grapichs card and hence It does not give complete playability to a high-end 3d games. It all depends on the Graphics Power needed by the computer game in question.

One thing you can do is go to Run-type dxdiag,Enter

A window will pop up for certification , just say no,then another will pop up with details about your computer.

So go to the Display tab and check out how mch ideo Memory you have,if it is lesser than the system requirements of the game in question then obviously you will not able to play the game.

Also if it says shared then it means that it is sharing that memory from the RAM which aain is not good news if you really want to play coo 3D games.

I suggest you buy a graphics card,Then you'll be able to play almost any game you want :D

Is this graphics card good for the sims 2?

I recently just installed the sims 2 Plus all the expansion packs. When I play it, all the walls are flashing red.

I'm guessing it's the graphics card i have,

so I need to buy a new one.

is this product good enough for the sims 2?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

Is this graphics card good for the sims 2?

The card which you do want to purchase should be able to run the game. You can see in this link 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sims_2' on the right side of the page it stats the requirements needed that card is above the slightly above the least. I also recommend that you go to this site

'http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/ref... this site test whether your somputer can run a certain game.

Apart for that I do recommend that you do not purchase that card because it is quite an old model and if you are interested in getting the Sims 3 in the future you should a newer card that at least supports direct x 9.0c. Feel free to contact me if you still have any inquires.

Is this graphics card good for the sims 2?

I recommend updating your graphics card drivers before buying a new card... You can get them here:

http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

Is this graphics card good for the sims 2?

Its okay, but you wont be able to set things at max and expect no lag. For best performance I suggest this one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

Its actually pretty cheap considering how good it is.

Is this graphics card good for the sims 2?

Check your video card against the system requirements here:

Start Menu%26gt;EA Games (expand)%26gt;Latest released EP installed (expand)%26gt;ReadMe

Scroll down to Supported Video cards

Scroll down to Known Issues

This should help.

If you need to update drivers, just Google your card and find it's website and follow the directions there.

Is this graphics card good for the sims 2?

Right now im running a radeon 9200 and i can tell you i have to take the graphics down a bit (or else things get really laggy) ..but it does run..for about 20 more bucks you can get the radeon x1650 and believe me it is much better ..my husband has it installed and he can max every thing out ..its well worth the extra bucks ..hope that helps

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

Hi I use play my Wii on my Standard TV %26amp; the graphics looks "good". Now, I bought a Philips 38''inch HDTV %26amp; with 768P resolution. I also bought the Wii HD Cables Cords %26amp; to support the 480P. When I play my Wii games or Gamecube games, the graphics looks poor %26amp; cheap? Is it how it suppost to be? Thanks you! :)

P.S. My HDTV it could support to 480i,480P,768P %26amp; 1080i resolution. Just to let you know. :)

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

The Wii isn't wanted for the Graphics... Most of the games are Anime or such things. They aren't ment for their graphics.

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

I've read that the Wii isn't really supposted to be played in HD because the graphics aren't in HD. Because your TV is HD and your Wii and Gamecube are both not HD it might be the reason as to why the graphics may look less "good" than they look on your SDTV.

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

The 480p only offers a slight improvement. It should look a little better than regular TV, but it's not much.

The Wii doesn't support HD, so it will never look as good as the PS3 or 360.

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

i have a wii and a hdtv, however, i personally have not encountered this problem. it may be that it was not set up right, or the settings for the tv does not suit the tv. Are the cables plugged in tightly? it is also possible that the tv is attempting to automaticly enlarge the picture on the wii- stretching the image.

now that im thinking about it, i think it happened to me once. i just unplugged the connecting cables , checked that they r in the right slots, and re-plugged them.

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

buy component cables for it, it will help a little, but the wii doesnt output hd resoultions so it will just be upscalled.

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

It depends on how you have it hooked up. Maybe your TV is trying to upscale the Wii's display to 1080p, which might cause it to look bad.

When using a high resolution, unfortunately all the shortcomings are blown up and look more obvious than ever.

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

Check wal-mart's electronic's site on HDTV's and check out the HDTV buying guide on the far left hand side on the bottom, and it gives you an outright explanation on what you maybe encountering. I would hate for you to spend money and time on something that could be so simple. Good luck!!

I think it has something to do with your picture presets.

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

The Wii only outputs 480p, which is technically EDTV not HDTV. It's going to appear "better" on regular TV because the extra detail just isn't there. Your HDTV is going to upscale any resolution to it's native resolution (in this case probably 720p) and this will introduce artifacts and maybe a little "grainy-ness". Just make sure you change the video settings to output 480p and that should be all you can do. It's never going to look like the 360 or PS3.

P.S. It's 720p not 768p.

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

Also, make sure to go into settings on your console and set the video to the higher resolution. You have everything else right, just tell the unit to be prettier!

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

Yeah. As stated, the Wii only supports resolutions up to 480p, which is an improvement over the 480i, but it still looks inferior to 780p and above systems. The wii is made for gameplay, not graphics.

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

Your TV is upscaling it, and probably does a crappy job (most HDTVs do a crappy job of upscaling).

Hi why the Nintendo Wii graphics looks poor on the HDTV?

it does not work because the Wii cant do HD thererfore the graphics look "cheap"

Which graphics card should I get to run Windows Vista Home Premium including the Aero interface?

I have a Gateway 509GE 3.0 GHZ Pentium 4 with 1GB Memory and 180 GB Hard Drive. Right now I have an integrated graphics card and Windows XP Home.

In addition to running Vista, I want a card that will let me edit my home videos, and output in S-video, or A/V and/or DVI to watch stuff on my TV.

Which graphics card should I get to run Windows Vista Home Premium including the Aero interface?

You should go with at leat a GeForce 7000 series card - 7900GS or GT are good choices, and meet your criteria. I'd also suggest upgrading to at least 2GB or RAM - Vista is a memory hog.

Suddenly my graphics are enlarged and take up too much screen. What do I do to reduce images to norm

Yes, my graphics have become enlarged and won't all fit into the screen. Also, image quality is degraded. How do I get it back to normal size and clarity?

Suddenly my graphics are enlarged and take up too much screen. What do I do to reduce images to normal size?

It is because accidentally your computer's screen resoultion has decreased. To increase it

first right click on empty space on the desktop.

Then select properties.

click on settings.

You will see the current screen resolution there. Choose/increase the higher resolution.

press apply. press ok.

Suddenly my graphics are enlarged and take up too much screen. What do I do to reduce images to normal size?

I'm assuming this is on the web, and your using IE. Find the view icon at the top of you browser window and click on it. You can change text size right there....or somehow you changed the resolution of the screen itself....which requires another fix but it's easy to.

What graphics card would be best for me?

I know there are many questions out there on graphic cards but I looked through them and none of them fully gave me an answer and I would rather receive a personal experience.

But what I am looking for is a good card for games (The Orange Box, Halo 2, Bioshock and some others) that will give me a reasonable frame rate and be able to handle a good amount of power.

Currently, I have intergraded graphics into the motherboard with a GeForce 6100 + nForce 400, the motherboard is a Gigabye GA-M61VME-S2.

So as for my price range I am thinking in between $100-$150 (maximum $200, but probably won't go that high) and looking for 256 MB+ (preferably 512 MB).

Also I only know little on graphic cards specifically so you may have to help me out a bit.

What graphics card would be best for me?

I just bought an ATI HD 3850... you can find them for about 180 bucks, with 256mb DDR3 ram. You can get 512 for more money, but that much memory is really overrated. With the faster DDR3 ram and the fast GPU, things get processed quickly so more ram isn't really necessary.

Tomshardware, Anandtech, and many other hardware sites have given this one their recommendation. Tomshardware.com ranked it as the most performance for the dollar, as it performs almost as well as some cards that cost upwards of 300 bucks.

I know it's a little more than you wanted to pay, but from what I've read it'll definitely be worth it.

You don't want DX10 right NOW, but for every game that is released from this point on, you'll wish you had it. With each new release it will become more and more important.

Go to Tomshardware.com and click on his GUIDES section, and he has a rundown of the best video cards for various pricepoints, I think it will help you in making a decision.

What graphics card would be best for me?

256mb GDDR3 will handle the game better than 512 of GDDR2.

Now the best place to get a graphic card is newegg.com

They really have the best prices.

Here is a link to a card I believe would fit your budget and your needs:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

What's good about this card

256 bit interface ( really important )

512MB GDDR3

Direct X10

Price: $159

Don't believe anybody can beat this..

------------------------

Following your additional details

---------------------------

I guess this one below would be perfect:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

The most important is to have good memory interface. make sure you get at least 256 bit interface.

I understand you don't need direct X10 with XP, but you may want to go with one just so the card can handle it, once you switch to vista, if you ever will.

What graphics card would be best for me?

I second the ATI Radeon HD 3850. It's a really good value for the price ($180).

If you want to stick to your price range, the the next best thing is the ATI Radeon 1950Pro. You can pick one of these up for $135. This is a great card at that price, but it doesn't have HD acceleration like the 3850, or DX10 support (although DX10 is not worth it in Bioshock.. future games, however, will better utilize DX10).

Both cards are fairly power-hungry. You may have to look at upgrading your power supply if it is some generic thing.

What graphics card would be best for me?

Well if DX10 isn't an importance get a 7900GT off of newegg for like $110.

I'd go with the 8800GT 256MB...or wait for the 8800GS..which will be right in your price range

http://en.hardspell.com/doc/showcont.asp...

Guy below me...shut up if you just are going to spout false info. 8500 is a TERRIBLE card...good job on wasting your money.

What graphics card would be best for me?

Listen Up M8 U need to get a GeForce 8 Series for the games u mentiontion ur power supply is enough but make sure u have enough ram Bioshock needs to have a 8 series graphics card or it will not work my advise is get a 8 series and make sure u have enough ram for ur games i think un have enough money for a good model maybe a 8600gt or 8500gt like me :::...))))

What graphics card would be best for me?

you can go to Fry's electronics and buy an Nvidia geforce 8600GT for like maybe below 160$. They might have a 40$ mail in rebate too :D

I need to know about vector graphics raster and bitmap graphics?

i need to know about vector graphics raster and bitmap graphics i need for class im in class rite now

I need to know about vector graphics raster and bitmap graphics?

Vector graphics are made by the graphics card drawing lines from point to point. A line 1" long would just need the coordinates of the starting point and the ending point to describe it (forget color and intensity for this discussion). If that line was the only thing on the screen that would be all that is needed.

Bit map graphics are made by the graphics card lighting up individual pixels along the path from point to point. A line 1" long might need 75 pixels for itself but those pixels are part of a full screen image of thousands of pixels that do every line and dot needed anywhere on the page. [TVs use bit map graphics]

I need to know about vector graphics raster and bitmap graphics?

Vector graphics are line based graphics, raster graphics are made up entirly by pixels.

I need to know about vector graphics raster and bitmap graphics?

You need to know what? The difference between the two?

Raster or bitmap graphics are made up of blocks of color, called pixels. The pictures your digita camera takes or a TV screen would be a good example. They're generally designed to be viewed or printed at a particular size, which is why your pictures look "blocky" if you try to enlarge them too much.

Vector graphics are composed of mathematical formulas which describe lines and curves. A file created in Adobe Illustrator, or the files your computer uses to create type when you print it out would be examples of vector graphics. Because they're described by formulas rather than blocks, vector-based graphics can be scaled to any size without any loss of quality.

I need to know about vector graphics raster and bitmap graphics?

see..there are main two types of image...

1.Raster 2.Vector

1.Raster images

---Made up of a grid or matrix of pixels. Hence also known as bitmaps or bit-mapped images.

---Each pixel represents a colour sample from the original image and is capable of being edited individually.

---Because raster images record information about each pixel, they tend to be quite large.

2. Vactor images

---Vector images are created by sequences of mathematical equations that define lines and shapes.

---Instead of containing a bit in the file for each bit of a line drawing, a vector graphic file describes a series of points to be connected. Hence also known as geometrical files.

---Vector based images are edited as a whole object 閳?you can閳ユ獩 erase part of a vector image..

%26amp; bitmap is one type of format of Raster Images.. .bmp files..

introduced by windows..

i hope this will help you...

Know anything about graphics cards?

I got "black %26amp; white 2" for my PC but it says I need a graphics card with Pixel Shader 2.0 or higher. I have a Dell Dimension Desktop 4550. Do you know the cheapest graphics card I can get that has Pixel Shader 2.0 and fits in my Dell?

Know anything about graphics cards?

almost all the newer card support pixel shader 2.0 follow the link to newegg and search for 1 in your price range. you computer uses a 4xAGP slot so make sure the card you get fits in that catagory. Also i recomend getting a Nvidia chipset.

Note: DirectX 9 supported cards will work with Pixel Shader 2.0

Note: Also make sure your drivers on your current video card are up to date. That might help fix the problem.

OK last note i pulled this from Black and white 2 web site:

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

OS - Windows 2000/XP

Processor - Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent 1.6 GHz

Memory - 512MB RAM

Hard Drive - 3.5GB

DVD-ROM - 8 SPEED (PC CD-ROM version also available in USA)

Video Card - 64MB with 1.1 Pixel Shader*

Sound Card - DirectX 9.0c compatible

DirectX - Version 9.0c

Input - Keyboard, mouse

* Black%26amp;White 2 requires a 64MB video card with 1.1 Pixel Shader support. Supported video cards: NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti series, GeForce FX series, GeForce 6200 or greater; ATI Radeon 8500 or greater, ATI Radeon X300 or greater. DirectX 9.0c is included on this disc and may require the latest drivers for your video and sound card.

Know anything about graphics cards?

You computer takes an APG-8 card. If you did not upgrade your video card you have a 64MB GeForce4 MX 420 card in it. There is a problem with NVIDIA and Pixel Shader 2.0. Try new DirectX and drivers before you jump to a new video card.

Pixel Shader 2.0 is part of DirectX 9.0. Download the latest version of DirectX 9.0C from Microsoft. Be sure to get the latest drivers from NVIDIA. I checked the dell site for updated to your video card and nothing is newer than 2003.

Know anything about graphics cards?

Type "graphic cards" or something like that in the box of the search site as Yahoo, Google, etc. and you'll get what you want more than you need!

Can I add in a graphics card?

http://www.intel.com/products/motherboar...

When I bought my computer, the employee told me that I have an extra PCI Express slot. What does that mean? I can add in a graphics card? Because I want to play my games on the computer with better graphics.

Can I add in a graphics card?

Absolutely, if you do have a PCIe x16 slot. See newegg.com.

Can I add in a graphics card?

Yes, that means you have an open slot where you can add a better graphics card. Look for pci express graphics cards.

Can I add in a graphics card?

yes you should be able to locate a PCI express graphics card to go in the system....

from the board it looks to not have built in video so theres probably a video card there you can swap out...

Can I add in a graphics card?

you should be able to upgrade, buttttttt make shure your power supply is up to the task, PCI-E are power hungry. You should also verify on a foru what would be the optimal config for your rig. Remember if you buy a 8800GTX and have a celeron processor the games will still look and play like crap, select your GPU based on your system specs.

Can I add in a graphics card?

Yes, that means you have an integrated graphics card ( one that came pre-installed) and and extra slot to add another graphics card. So go ahead and buy urself a kick-*** graphics card and install it, and plug your monitor into that card, and play your video games.

Can I add in a graphics card?

first, you must find out the specs of your computer. If you have a new computer and it cost about, ehh... 600-800 dollars, you probably have good enough hardware to run a video card.

for a standard, you should have AT LEAST...

- a 400-600W power supply

- a decent amount of ram (1GB is probably average)

- a good processor (a good standard for AMD is an X2 +3200, or an Intel dual core processor... i like AMD more)

- a good monitor to actually see good graphics on. If you don't have one, you won't really know how well your graphics card can perform.

Can I add in a graphics card?

One thing to keep in mind, if you buy a graphics card which is way better than the rest of your computer, it'll be bottlenecked by the weaker links.

Better Graphics Card?

Hi

People

Im buying a PC with an integrated graphics card wanted to ask could I later add my own graphic card of a higer spec to use on this machine?

Many Thanks

Better Graphics Card?

You should have no problem adding a graphics card later. All you need is an AGP or open PCI slot, depending upon the card you are adding. Your BIOS will handle in one of two ways - 1.) It will sense the added graphics card and use it by default(you will need to make sure the drivers are loaded of course), or 2.) You disable the integrated card in the BIOS setup. My computer has an integrated graphics card, but I use an nVidia GeForce 6800 GS.

Better Graphics Card?

What machine is it? (Manufacturer, Model #, etc.)

It's nice to recommend a card, but it's hard to recommend one if you don't know if it's PCI-E or AGP, or it may have neither and only have PCI slots.

Better Graphics Card?

Well the previous answer is right, but the current technology for graphics cards is PCI Express, and if you don't have that, you are going to have trouble upgrading graphics in the future. Check and make sure the system you are buying has a PCI Express x16 slot.

Better Graphics Card?

just make sure that your motherboard as some sort of PCI/ PCI-E/ or AGP slot

if it does, then it should be able to

try your hardest find one that has a PCI Expresss (PCI-E) slot in it

Want to get the new imac 20"but can its graphics card be upgraded and how good is it ati 2600 h

i know that the mac can run parallels and boot camp thus it can run windows game correct but i want to know if it's graphics card can handle games like halo 3 battle for middle earth fable i dint need them to run at full graphics but at middle graphics with no lag. and if it cant can the graphics card be upgraded by me or by sending it to apple inorder to replace (upgrade the card) please not to be insulting but i wouldlike exsperienced apple users to answer this question

Want to get the new imac 20"but can its graphics card be upgraded and how good is it ati 2600 hd?

Halo 3 isn't out for the PC (Vista) but Halo 2 is and is a 2005 game with 512x512 textures instead of 256x256 textures on the original Xbox.

The ATI HD 2600 is a great entry level card and it should be able to play all those games at full graphics without a lot of post rendering like AA and AF (the 20" has 1680x1050 native res I Believe).

The existing graphics cards is a PCI-e card and therefore replaceable, but not all high end 3D gaming cards are compatible with Mac and may not have drivers for it (even though the drivers are available for windows).

If the card you want to upgrade is supported in OS X 10.x then you can upgrade it yourself (really easy to do, just unplug the old and plug the new one in and install the drivers). To date, Nvidia's flagship 8800 GTX is NOT supported in OS X and won't boot into OS X.

As far as I know , the HD 2600 Pro is the best performing card for the Mac, but it will be able to play the games you listed smoothly. You can buy an ATI X1900XT for the Mac, but it's a DirectX 9 card (is supported by OS X don't waste your money), just wait for something better to come out.

Will this graphics card work with these games?

Two games dont list my graphics card, will it work with this and other games?

GPU

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

BF2

http://www.computing.net/gaming/wwwboard...

Oblivion

http://www.elderscrolls.com/games/oblivi...

Will this graphics card work with these games?

Ya just do it, you have plenty of graphics. "PEACE"

Will this graphics card work with these games?

for your information, i ran BF2 on an ATi 9250 128mb. i also ran both games on Nvidia 6200 PCI-E.

Will this graphics card work with these games?

That card is a whole lot better than mine so I'd expect it can run both games without a hitch. Specially if you also have lots of system RAM to go along.

Will this graphics card work with these games?

The card you have or intend to buy will be able to handle the 2 games BUT you cannot have all the settings on maximum especially Oblivion which is a very graphic intensive game. If you can settle for a lower setting and resolutions than the card will be sufficient. By the way I'm using a Nvidia Geforce 6600 card and have played both games successfully.

Will this graphics card work with these games?

Yes, and quite good.

Tv out graphics cards?

whats the best graphics card i can fit in the tv out slot on my computer ( the only slot avaliable left on my computer )

Tv out graphics cards?

Sadly, there are no graphics cards for the above situation. If you ran out of PCI slots, you may need a machine with more PCI slots vs. a machine with everything on the motherboard.

How can i get better graphics on my laptop???please help?

i need a better graphics card on my laptop for games and im told ya cant install another graphics card. please dont suggest buying another laptop because im 13 and i hardly get any pocket money! thanks very much!

How can i get better graphics on my laptop???please help?

Actually, you aren't out of luck unless you have an older model laptop or one that was geared for business and travel.

Newer laptops produced in the past 2-3 years by several companies (Dell and other high end brands) usually offer laptops that can have their video upgraded thanks to mainstreaming removable video cards. Check your model # on the manufacturer's website and see if it has an upgradeable video card option. If not, then you're stuck with what you have. Even if you have something that's upgradeable, you're looking at 120-300 dollars for better cards.

Also, remember that RAM isn't a magical cure-all for gaming. If your current video chipset/video card can't run something at all, then RAM won't help. If it at least runs the software but does so with a lot of lag then RAM might help. Then again, it might not. Don't go running out to spend your hard earned cash on RAM just yet.

How can i get better graphics on my laptop???please help?

only by buying a newer laptop.

Laptops arent like desktops, as their video controller is soldered onto the motherboard.

So, sorry youre out of luck

How can i get better graphics on my laptop???please help?

You can't because you would have to replace the entire motherboard. Build or ask for a PC. You could make one for as little as 300 bucks. If that's too much, you are SOL

How can i get better graphics on my laptop???please help?

become a caddy u get a lot of money and then buy a new labtop

How can i get better graphics on my laptop???please help?

Well, one thing you can do is upgrade your RAM. You RAM is shared, so your current video adapter is using some of your RAM, upgrading your RAM will help the graphics load faster and render smoother. Good luck.

How can i get better graphics on my laptop???please help?

Hello, glad to hear that there is another guy that has my age and has that problem (I used to have it), 1st give me some information on your machine (brand, brand of the graghic card, etc), then turn off some applications that only makes your computer lag (all IM applications, etc), turn your graghics to the ugliest to make it go faster.

To give further details, e-mail (sniper@ak4clan.net) me your computer's information and I will respond ASAP.

How can i get better graphics on my laptop???please help?

You can easily purchase graphic boards, at Best buy, Walmart, Target, ETC. Another Solution: You could also just download a graphic runner. Depends if you want it for games...or for a website...it just depends.

How can i get better graphics on my laptop???please help?

I agree, RAM makes all the different, just having more memory can make it easier to let graphics load smoothly.

How good is World of Warcraft Graphics on Maximum settings I hear its Poor?

Hey you know what I read on IGN that WOW graphics lacks Polygon.

I was wondering does anyone know how good WOW graphics looks on a PC that has

2GB of RAM

320 MB geforce 8800 GTS

Athlon X-2 6000+

Can I run WOW on Maximum on these specs?

And if so how good does it look?

And is IGN review of ot having poor polygon count true?

Also very importantly when they bring out a new patch for WOW does it improve on the Polygon?

Does it improve on Detail and overall Graphics?

And Finally When will the Next Gen world of Warcraft 2 be comming out?

If anyone can answer these question it will be great

thanks

How good is World of Warcraft Graphics on Maximum settings I hear its Poor?

That set up will run max settings fine.

The graphics are no where near top of the line. You will not be that impressed.

As far as I know there are little graphical improvements here and there, but nothing noticable.

I haven't heard anything about a sequel or a next-gen engine in development, but I'm sure blizzard is considering it if not already started on it.

How good is World of Warcraft Graphics on Maximum settings I hear its Poor?

Graphics on high aren't all that bad, but it doesn't all depend on your graphics card you know. Your monitor has to do with some as well. I have a 19" LCD Widescreen LG Monitor with 3000:1 contrast an 2 mms. It looks nice, but of course the graphics are cartoony so don't expect Oblivion graphics to pop out at you.

You can run it on max with those specs.

And if so how good does it look?

And is IGN review of ot having poor polygon count true?

haven't heard anything on WoW2.

No graphics card...will Second Life work?

my computer dosnt have a graphics card...but meets ALL the other requirements for second life....if i download it...will it work?

p.s. how long does it take to download second life?

No graphics card...will Second Life work?

You mean your computer is using an on board Graphics card.

You could try since second life's graphics isnt even near average at highest setting.

i doubt it will work

it depends on your internet type for the download

Error msg in TC++ :'Fatal ..\INCLUDE\GRAPHICS.H 19: Error directive: BGI graphics not supported

I have a written a program for cubic spline interpolation which includes a graphics part where I display the graph of the interpolated polynomial.I was unable to take screenshots of this graph in TC++ 3.0 because it works in DOS mode.

So I thought of using Borland TC++ 4.5 in the Win XP environment. But when I try to compile the program it gives an error message:'Fatal ..\INCLUDE\GRAPHICS.H 19: Error directive: BGI graphics not supported under Windows'.

Please help me to solve this problem.

Error msg in TC++ :'Fatal ..\INCLUDE\GRAPHICS.H 19: Error directive: BGI graphics not supported under Windows'

call customer service about the probem it could be windows related

Error msg in TC++ :'Fatal ..\INCLUDE\GRAPHICS.H 19: Error directive: BGI graphics not supported under Windows'

ur ******...sorry....

Error msg in TC++ :'Fatal ..\INCLUDE\GRAPHICS.H 19: Error directive: BGI graphics not supported under Windows'

If TC++ 3.0 runs in a DOS window (or "command line interface," as we call it), doing Alt-Print Screen should put a screenshot onto the clipboard where you can then paste it into Paint (Start-Programs-Accessories-Paint).

Error msg in TC++ :'Fatal ..\INCLUDE\GRAPHICS.H 19: Error directive: BGI graphics not supported under Windows'

You can execute console DOS program under Windows but BGI (Borland Graphics Interface) drivers are DOS drivers and cannot be used with Windows. To use some graphics with Windows, you need either to use Windows GDI (Graphics Device Interface) -- or move to low level programming that means en essance creation of your own graphics drivers.

IIRC, Borland 4.5 has GDI support but - sorry - i am not 100% sure.

My Laptop graphics have seems to have gone sluggish??

i put my laptops cover down (i have done so many times without problems) and then my screen resolution had gone really big and out of proportion.

i fixed this, and set it how it was.

however the graphics know seem to have go off, and look really sluggish and rubbish really, i am at the monemt working at 32 bits (whatever that it).

how can i improve it, or should i take it to the shop i got it from and use my warranty.

My Laptop graphics have seems to have gone sluggish??

use the warranty, dont mess with it, no offence but your just a user not a tech, let them fix it =)

My Laptop graphics have seems to have gone sluggish??

reinstall the driver for your graphics chip.

goto device manager

[start menu/ right click on 'my computer'/select 'manage'/select 'device manager']

open up graphic display adaptors

delete the current driver (may be corrupt or disabled)

reboot windows

windows will now reinstall the working driver automatically.

My Laptop graphics have seems to have gone sluggish??

Reinstall the software for your Display Screen from it's own CD, then check it back,,

If you didn't find it's Reinstallation CD, then right click on My Computer %26gt; Properties %26gt; Device %26gt; Device Managment :

Check your Display Devices (or what's name it was) you will find it above Processing Devices.

Farewill, google for it . :)

It sounds like your driver for your soundcard has been corrupted.

Is this graphics card compatible with my dell???

i have a Dell Dimension 4600. It is a (AGP). this graphics card i am looking at says GDDR3. is it compatable with my computer??? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

Is this graphics card compatible with my dell???

The card is also a AGP. It should work for you if you have an unused power supply cable (this graphics card requires power direct from the power supply) and if you have a DVI capable monitor since this card has dual DVI outputs (also has an S-video for TV hookup). The GDDR3 is the type of memory built into the card.

Is this graphics card compatible with my dell???

You might want to consider this one:

Goto www.tomshardware.com for video benchmarks. That will give you an idea of what to expect out of the video card.

How Can I Upgrade my Graphics Card If It Is Integrated?

Hello, I am Currently running a HP Pavilion 714a, with a Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller.

Honestly I don't know much about computers, so trying to find the right answer on the net is hard if I don't give the right question LOL. Im getting really tired of the computers intergrated graphics card, because there are a whole HEAP of new games coming out, but my card just cant handle them.

I already added 512mb RAM to my excisting 256mb, which helped run the games a bit smoother. I have a 2.4GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor.

Through my research, I found out that it is impossible (?) to remove intergrated graphic cards. Instead you disable them. But Im just not sure what the best graphic card is thats compatible with my motherboard.

So before I go out and waste my money on new graphic cards, I want to know whats compatible with my comp. I've checked the HP Website but nothing there really helped me. And I think I have 2 PCI ports (?) or AGP ports (?) Any help would be great

How Can I Upgrade my Graphics Card If It Is Integrated?

Well, here's the down and dirty. Your motherboard can only support what is known as an AGP 4x graphics card. This is quite old, but you can purchase cards that will work for it if you want to. This is easily the best card that you can put in your system http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/eVGA-e-Ge...

(although you may have to upgrade your power supply to handle that card)

In your quest to find graphics cards, realize that they will usually say AGP 8x/4x on them, or just 8x. An 8x slot runs those cards faster than the 4x slot.

So, all you have to look for is an AGP 4x graphics card.

Check out these cards:

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Video-TV-...

And these ones are a little cheaper:

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Video-TV-...

How Can I Upgrade my Graphics Card If It Is Integrated?

if you used to build legos then building a computer is as simple as building with legos. that computer is to old. build yourself a new computer adn choose the components that YOU want. not crappy components that the companies slaps into the box without giving a second thought to the consumer.

How Can I Upgrade my Graphics Card If It Is Integrated?

Make it sure, AGP or PCI Express; no need to count PCI:

That is all, as long as you buy AGP for an AGP system or PCI Ex for PCI Ex you are OK, mostly, although now you have PSU wattage to concern about. More powerful the card is it needs more available wattage for cooling.

How Can I Upgrade my Graphics Card If It Is Integrated?

OK, if you have AGP ports, you need to know whether they are rated 2X, 4X, 8X, 16X, etc. (It will be something along those lines.) For example, let's say you discover that you have an 8X card and like the nVidia FX5xxx series. If you start examining available products on-line, you would see that the FX 5500 is the highest (hottest) card in that series that you can run in an 8X slot, so you would have to avoid hotter cards. Going to an FX 8000 series would require you (in this hypothetical AGP 8X case) to swap out your motherboard in order to use a better card, and that would be a distinct problem. I've got a Pavilion myself, just upgraded my card and RAM for the same reason.

You are right about the driver. Just disable it from device manager and let Windows use one of the basic modes of the new card so you can load drivers and configure what you have installed. It sounds like it is impossible, but it isn't. ALL cards have common modes in them that allow a minimum form of Windows GUI to come up. From there you do the device driver install, reboot, and off you go.

You probably do NOT want to waste PCI ports if you have AGP ports. AGP is designed for graphics cards. PCI is more generic.

How Can I Upgrade my Graphics Card If It Is Integrated?

I have hp and on board graphic I disabled that from the BIOS and installed AGP ATI Radeon 9550 it works excellent.

How Can I Upgrade my Graphics Card If It Is Integrated?

Actually you do have an AGP slot on your motherboard that would support installing an upgrade. And just so you know you have 3 PCI slots (but no PCIe slots).

I would suggest doing a search on either tigerdirect.com or newegg.com to look for video cards.

How Can I Upgrade my Graphics Card If It Is Integrated?

If you insert a PCI or AGP Graphic card and plug your monitor into it. It should recognize it. The only thing that may be lacking is the drivers once you get into Windows. Look at what you have to spend on a card. It will have the system requirements on the box of the card you buy. The only problem I see you running into is if you don't have a display once you insert card and plug the monitor into it. You may have to disable the the onboard graphic card in the BIOS.

How Can I Upgrade my Graphics Card If It Is Integrated?

Okay you start buy purchasing an AGP card not pci express.

follow the 1st link posted below for directions.

2 things to consider when purchasing the card your budget and your power supply. Look for system requirement's before making your purchase some require a certain amount of power.

You can find out the wattage of your power supply by reading its label.

It's the large box where you plug the electricity into located towards the upper left of your pc as you face it from the side. You have to open the case to see the rating ..

After you get your card install it power the system up enter the bios setup by hitting f1 got to integrated devices or sometimes video adjust the memory usage to its lower setting or disable it if possible. save and exit.....

I've added a list of agp cards for info purposes in the 2nd link

How Can I Upgrade my Graphics Card If It Is Integrated?

You probably have 2 PCI ports, these will not help at all. I would be very surprised if you had an AGP or PCIe port on your motherboard. These are graphics ports and they usually only come on mother boards without integrated graphics (I have never seen anything to the contrary).

In other words, you are pretty much out of luck. Save your money and eventually buy a new computer. Try to build it yourself, you will save a ton of money.

What software can I use for making video graphics for television?

I want to make a television commercial spot that is primarily just video graphics such as my logo, which appears, moves to the corner and a video of a product is on screen, with text, lots of motion and graphics.

I don't need an editing program but rather something to make all these graphics and things in. Easily.. for PC too. Which software do you recommend?

Gaming graphics cards?

I am upgrading my PC and I'm wondering if anybody has any advice on the best type of gaming graphics card I can get in the $100 to $200 price range...

Gaming graphics cards?

If you like ATI, then radeon x1600 with 512 mb is a good mid-card. If you're leaning towards nvidia, then they have some good geforces - 7600GS, 7800GS, and others which will all be able to run Vista when it comes out, as well as play the newest games coming out.

Gaming graphics cards?

You can choose any video make sure it should support shadow pixel technology.

It is the reason why7 games don't play even they are comprtability.

Gaming graphics cards?

Are you looking for PCI Express or AGP or PCI???

If you aren't using PCI-Express then I will have to recommend doing so. AGP's graphic cards are becoming obsolete and more expensive that PCI-Express cards.

Going SLI will mostly definitely make your fancy! Two graphics cards pushing your gaming power through the roof.

If you have an AGP slot then I recommend this:

XFX PVT42KUDE3 $141.00 from Computer3G

Highlight and copy this link into your browser to go directly to the site and product.

http://www.3gplaza.com/estore/control/Co...

If you have a PCI-Express slot then get this:

XFX nVidia GeForce 7900GS 256MB $192.29 from ewiz.com

Highlight and copy this link into your browser to go directly to the site and product.

http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=XFX-790...

Go with the high end for the PCI-Express because eventually you will go SLI (two cards running at the same time). Then you can just get another one.

This will cost you less in the long run. I'm running 2 7600gt's on mine and I can't believe I was wanting to stay with AGP.

You will have to get a whole new set up though. New processor and motherboard and possible ram. Trust me it's worth the upgrade. So start saving your money.

If you have questions about your future upgrades send me an email and I'll help ya out as much as possible.

Gaming graphics cards?

The GeForce 7900 series is probably the best fit for your budget. GeForce is known for its quality graphics and I personally don't use anything else. Some things to look for however are GDDR3 RAM types and PCI Express chipsets. Whatever you do don't setlle for anything less than 256MB GDDR3, most games run very high these days and you don't want to be the one who get owned.

Hope you find this helpful....db

7600gt graphics card?

i would like to buy a nvidia geforce 7600gt graphics card, my computer is pci express, will all pci express cards work on any pci express computers, because some says 16x(what is 16x)?

every 7600gt is sli ready, when it says sli ready, do i have to buy two cards, or i can just put one and it will run perfectly?

is a 7600gt good?

thanks...

7600gt graphics card?

All 7600GT's are 16x. 16x refers to how fast they can receive data from the processor. And no, you don't have to have two of them. They're SLI-ready, not SLI-mandatory. See the difference?:)

And yeah, 7600GT's aren't bad. I've got one in this computer, as a matter of fact. You just won't be maxing out Crysis or Oblivion with one. They're good for older games, or newer games at lower resolution and in-game settings.

7600gt graphics card?

you only need to use 1 card, and PCI-E x1 is different than PCI-E x16. Make sure that both your computer and card have the same PCI-E number

Playstation 3 graphics?

I really want a PS3 because the basketball games look great...which basketball game for the PS3 has the best graphics? Because NBA 07 The Life looks great and so does NBA 2k7. Which one is more fun also? And please, don't talk about the Wii or 360, I dont like those systems

Playstation 3 graphics?

Although our opinions differ on the better gaming system, I will say that the PS3 did the right thing going with NVidia, if you are unfamiliar with them, they are a graphic chipset giant, to say the least, but I'd say if you are debating just rent both of them sometime and see for yourself, and remember, all these systems are new and the games will get much better over time.

Playstation 3 graphics?

I would go with the 2k7 it is better it has more things to it and all that and alot.

Did you know that the ps3 has great graphics because it process 2 trillion pixels per second that is ten times better than HD DVD

Playstation 3 graphics?

Nba 07 the life..........oh and by the way are you adam awdish........well if it is it is anthony

Playstation 3 graphics?

better you do some research and you'll see xbox 360 beats ps3's basketball games in the graphics before you will spend 600$

What graphics card do I need for Dell dimension B110 to run kids games? The Intel one that came w/it

We bought a Dell Dimension B110 for our kids. They are elementary school age and just need it for homework, games and internet. However, they can't run any of the games we've bought them like Lego Star Wars or Disney/Pixar Cars because our graphics card apparently doesn't support them (pixel shading, etc.). The card that came with the system is an Intel 82865G. What do I need to buy and can I add it myself? They are just kids who want to run some basic games, so I don't want anything that costs more than the system itself or requires a visit from the Geek Squad to install. ;-)

What graphics card do I need for Dell dimension B110 to run kids games? The Intel one that came w/it won't.

Most Dells have an intergrated video and sound system, meaning they are built right into the motherboard, most have an open AGP or PCI-E slot and atleast 2 or 3 PCI slots, the cards would cost you around $120.00, but the issues are with the Dell warrantys, I used to work for there Tech Support center in Edmonton AB Canada we did all of North America and the UK.

If you open and alter the unit and it is not done by a authorized Dell service person, all warranties will be voided, check the phonebook look for a service center, for the part when doing the change go to Best Buy, Staples, CompUSA.

I recommend a 5.1 audigy sound card, it will be about $65, and a 128 mg AGP or PCI-E video card, it will run $45-60.00, but make sure you have them done by the proper service people, they can reapply the seal on the back of the CPU and keep your warranties intact.

What graphics card do I need for Dell dimension B110 to run kids games? The Intel one that came w/it won't.

look on webstore for the best deal you can choose ati radeon series

Pc graphics?

what is the difference between generic graphics cards and other cards?

e.g.

http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product....

and:

http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product....

??

Pc graphics?

The difference is processing power. A generic card will allow you to play basic to moderate games and do everyday items however the moment you try something high end you will see the problems (slow frame rate - think of it like a matrix scene) and at some point it won't be worth playing.

The cards you selected appear to be the same however if you have a game in mind that you want to play compare the graphics requirements to the card that you want to buy and get that one.

Pc graphics?

it's just the brands are different but they all have the chip. i'd get the cheapest one though..

What do Graphics cards do?

Is it more important to upgrade a graphics card or add more ram?

What do Graphics cards do?

It all depends on what ya want to do.

Q1. Play newer video games?

A. New Graphics Card (w/ faster processor)

Q2. Play semi new video games with large map files?

A. Decent Graphics Card with more onboard memory

Q3. Overall Windows/OS and some gaming improvement (i.e. Load times)

A. More RAM

Hope that helps.

What do Graphics cards do?

duno?

What do Graphics cards do?

http://computer.howstuffworks.com/graphi...

What do Graphics cards do?

ofcourse. the better the graphics card the better the quality. just think as HD on ur computer. also ram is important to so that ur computer doesnt lag as you watch movies but if your a gamer (like my brother) ur gonna need a lotta ram and a good graphics card

What do Graphics cards do?

To put it simply, graphics cards produce graphics/picture so you can see things on a monitor. If it weren't for them, you couldn't see anything on your comp. ;)

Also, it depends on how you use your computer. Do you do alot of gaming? If so, then a new graphics card might be good. If you mostly just surf the web and such, then more RAM would be better.

Hope this helps. :)

What do Graphics cards do?

Update Graphics card or add more RAM...

It really depends on what you use your computer for. If you aren't a hardcore gamer (if you're a hardcore gamer and you don't know what a graphics card does, there'd be something wrong with you...) so I'm gonna assume you're not a gamer (that doesn't mean you've never played a video game, just that you don't play them every second of every day). You'd get the most increase in performance with extra RAM. I had 128MB in my laptop (Win2000, P3 850MHz) and it was horribly slow, but after I stuck in 2 sticks of 256MB RAM and put it at 512MB, it ran a LOT smoother. I also upped the RAM in my 768MB RAM desktop to 1.5GB RAM, but I didn't notice as much of an improvement, although it was definitely better.

A graphics card is a device that renders images to your screen. If you only use your computer for browsing the Web, editing documents, email, IM, and other things that use simple graphics, even a dated graphics card will work just fine. Upgrading graphics cards only gives you a (huge) performance increase in 3d games, where you can get improved frames-per-second and run your games at higher resolutions (more detail) and higher filtering levels (clearer image), but if you don't use 3d applications much, it won't do anything for you.

What do Graphics cards do?

they allow you to work with the monitor. they are the reason that you can see what you are doing on your computer. and yes, it is good to keep upgrading them. i would probably buy a new computer if its quite old.

What do Graphics cards do?

yes if you like to play demanding games!

If you only use computer for surfing and chatting than graphics shouldn't matter!
