I heard that graphics cards take the memory from ram. is it true?

if i have a 256mb graphics card. and 512 mb ram.will graphics card takes 256 out of 512?

I heard that graphics cards take the memory from ram. is it true?

if you have a 3rd party video card that is dubbed with either "turbocache technology" (nvidia) or "hypermemory technology" (ati), then it actively uses system memory

or if you have an integrated graphics processor [IGP] (any intel graphics, ati xpress 200, nvidia 6100, nvidia 6150, etc.)...those use up system memory too

other than that, nope. video cards generally come with their own independant memory

I heard that graphics cards take the memory from ram. is it true?

Yes thats true only if the graphics card is a built in one, if you have installed it separatey, don't worry, it will have its own memory.

I heard that graphics cards take the memory from ram. is it true?

not in your case

I heard that graphics cards take the memory from ram. is it true?

You mean use up, don't you?

Well, it comes with that much memory, but yes, it does also use up RAM, depending on the task you're doing.

I heard that graphics cards take the memory from ram. is it true?

no and yes if u have an onboard one it does and it takes it from the memory chips in ur put not from the card itself and if u have ur own well that depends on how u have it set in bios long as they both arent on together u should be ok its nothing to fret about

I heard that graphics cards take the memory from ram. is it true?

IF you have a separate graphics card, it may or may not use some of your system RAM. If you have an AGP card, then it does. The amount that it uses can be changed in the BIOS, but leaving it set at 128 MB is always best. If you have a PCI-E card, then it doesn't, unless it's a 6200TC or a 7300LE. And if you have a PCI card, then it doesn't borrow any system RAM at all.

Of course, if you don't have a true graphics card at all, just a chipset attached to the motherboard, then everything it uses is system RAM.

I heard that graphics cards take the memory from ram. is it true?

there r 2 types of graphics cards....

1%26gt;on-board graphics card which is built into the motherboard..

it doesnt have its own memory so it shares it from ram.amount depends on the setting in bios.....

2%26gt;add-on graphics card......which u have to add to the mother board..this type of cards have there own memory and donot need ram for sharing.....this can be a pci/agp/pcie card..

so the answer lies on what kind of graphis u have....

hope the above info is use full...
