What do the xbox 360 graphics look like without HDTV?

I am getting the xbox 360 premium relatively soon. Unfortunately, the premium package doesn't come with component cables for HDTV and I can't afford the 40.00 $ cables with all the other accessories quite yet. I will get the cables probably a couple months after I buy the 360, but I was wondering if the graphics on the 360 still looked good without HDTV. And also, does playing the 360 on an HDTV without the special HDTV cables make the graphics look worse?

I had it hooked up without HDTV and it did not look good to me. So I went out and purchased a HDTV and now I love it.

When you hook up a 360 to a non HDTV it still has a great picture, much clearer than the original xbox, and maps that will wow you. But if you want to go for the full experience (and why wouldnt you) you definatly need a HDTV, some 360 games on a HDTV you will forget your playing a game, actual game play looks like cut scenes. Reuardless you will have jaw dropping graphics, but adding that HDTV will make the expierecne 10 times better.

but there is some problemes any time in a game were its

very bright it looks like the color is coming off a little.
