i need a better graphics card on my laptop for games and im told ya cant install another graphics card. please dont suggest buying another laptop because im 13 and i hardly get any pocket money! thanks very much!

Actually, you aren't out of luck unless you have an older model laptop or one that was geared for business and travel.

Newer laptops produced in the past 2-3 years by several companies (Dell and other high end brands) usually offer laptops that can have their video upgraded thanks to mainstreaming removable video cards. Check your model # on the manufacturer's website and see if it has an upgradeable video card option. If not, then you're stuck with what you have. Even if you have something that's upgradeable, you're looking at 120-300 dollars for better cards.

Also, remember that RAM isn't a magical cure-all for gaming. If your current video chipset/video card can't run something at all, then RAM won't help. If it at least runs the software but does so with a lot of lag then RAM might help. Then again, it might not. Don't go running out to spend your hard earned cash on RAM just yet.

You can't because you would have to replace the entire motherboard. Build or ask for a PC. You could make one for as little as 300 bucks. If that's too much, you are SOL

Well, one thing you can do is upgrade your RAM. You RAM is shared, so your current video adapter is using some of your RAM, upgrading your RAM will help the graphics load faster and render smoother. Good luck.

Hello, glad to hear that there is another guy that has my age and has that problem (I used to have it), 1st give me some information on your machine (brand, brand of the graghic card, etc), then turn off some applications that only makes your computer lag (all IM applications, etc), turn your graghics to the ugliest to make it go faster.

You can easily purchase graphic boards, at Best buy, Walmart, Target, ETC. Another Solution: You could also just download a graphic runner. Depends if you want it for games...or for a website...it just depends.
