How come the graphics in my Sims 2 neighborhood are not good?

I have graphics on the highest it can go. Also, I have all of the expansion and stuff packs, minus Teen Style. When I first installed The Sims 2 original game, the graphics were still bad. I can show pictures if needed.

i think u need a new graphics card cos i installed all packs then i went onto the neighbourhood pleasentview and all the flooring was flashing purple weird so what im doing is using the home computer 2 play it cos it has a good graphics card which supports the game hope this helps u
