yes just put it in the graphics card you geting in the right card slot than load up your computer put the software in the disable the old grahpics card on the motherboard so it dont slow you computer and to disable it go to control panel click perfomance and maintence than system system than hardware click device manager then find the old grahpics card rightclick on it than click disable

As long as u have a empty AGP or PCIe slot available on the motherboard, you can plug in a graphic card and dont hv to change the motherboard.
